Hitting and throwing things.

When do you put your foot down regarding your child hitting you in the face and biting you. My son is one and very strong. If he doesn’t want to eat something on his highchair or doesn’t want his bottle he throws it aggressively at me or on the floor. I know he is a baby but wondering what can I do to curb this behavior before it gets worse?

With my children I have always let them know it hurts me; that seems to have nipped it in the bud as they are very empethetic, but it does take a few times since at that age they tend to be more reactive. Just be consistent with your response until he eventually catches on.
