Is this normal?

My almost 4 weeks old girl sometimes breathes very fast when she is sleeping/falling asleep and im concerned. Is this normal??? I'm just very worried all the time :(

Newborn don't have a regular steady respiratory rate, but the thing I would go and check on is the sucking in of the skin around her little neck. It can be a sign of respiratory distress If you google signs of respiratory distress in newborns you'll see all of them. It includes their nose flaring, tracheal tug, head bobbing and sucking in around the ribs/diaphragm Tinyhearts on IG have good examples of these on their page I'd show my GP the video just to be safe. I hope shes okay x

Hi. This is normal. I called the emergency line as my son was breathing in a similar way but the doctor said it wasn’t rapid. My midwife told me it’s normal also. If you hear grunting and notice ribs are visible with the breaths then I would contact the doctor.
