I've never heard of this

What kind of doctor can't find a cervix?? 👀 Anyway, it sounds like that was an ultrasound -- did you get a pelvic ultrasound done while you were at the hospital (internal or external) or were they wanting to do it but insurance wouldn't cover it?

yes she couldn't see it and the more she pushed in the more pain I felt .will go back tomorrow.

You mean the doctor was just like “nope, not here.” Like wtf?

Ok I've heard and experienced thisfor an internal exam. Sounds like you have have a high cervix maybe (I didn't know this was a thing until another friend had a rant and then I had an experience). There's 2 different styles of speculum for this purpose for internal exams (was it that?). But if they had you in doing a scan and couldn't find it there could be a couple/few reasons --- a)tech not trained well -- b) you're heavier and they're having difficulty -- c) and this is super rare but does happen, you are not actually born female but were raised as one because testes didn't descend right as a youngster

Vaginal exams aren’t necessary and can increase risk for infection. You obviously have a cervix so I wouldn’t worry. Also checking for dialation or effacement won’t tell you how soon you’ll go into labor,Assuming that’s the reason for checking. I don’t get vaginal exams for this reason. Babies still come when they’re ready.

What dr can't find it? I can feel my own if I put my fingers up there (obvs not often due to infections)

Cervix moves position according to stage of cycle. High up when ovulating, is that possible for you?

it is painful in there that's y I checked into the hospital .had severe pelvic pain

lol I am a female and it's always been there .but since my last surgery for ovarian cyst .which was laparoscopic have never touched it like I used to .so the doc had to do some swaps but couldn't get it .

When I had a cervical screening recently it took forever for the nurse to find it, she said it was because I’m tall and she used a longer speculum. I’ve not had this happen before for previous screenings, but apparently things can move about when you’ve had a baby previously.
