Delivery with UC

Hi everyone, I am currently 37 wks pregnant and have remained flare free this pregnancy! I have UC and am terrified of labour and vaginal delivery mostly because of the tearing and any impact it may have to my UC. Any advice from mom's who have been through this? Did you find your delivery had any impact on your UC?

Thank you for sharing ! Glad to hear your recovery was fairly normal despite the lengthy induction. It feels like doctors have their own opinions on csections with UC. My doc similar to yours has indicated that unless I have major complications that a vaginal birth is the way to go but I've heard of other mums with UC who were also fairly stable but whose docs proposed Csections just incase. Either way though it's nice to hear of some success stories like yours!

Hi, my first pregnancy in remission was absolutely fine. I had a normal spontaneous vaginal birth. However, the second time around, I'm early pregnancy with a flare-up, so I'm not sure how this one is going yo pan out. You will be fine either way 🙂

Starting Zoloft postpartum!

Has anyone had experience starting Zoloft postpartum? I just got prescribed it and tomorrow will be day 1. I’m honestly pretty nervous to start, but hopeful it will make me an even better, more present, mom. 🫶🏼

Gestational Diabetes

Anyone else been diagnosed? I had my GTT test on Monday and was told the hospital would call if I was positive but I’ve still heard no call from them. I had a midwife appt two days later and she told me that I had indeed tested positive but I’m wondering why the hospital themselves haven’t contacted me if that was the case? Maybe I’m just in denial 🤷‍♀️ but this midwife was really incompetent because she couldn’t find baby’s heartbeat and made me panic which makes me think I can’t trust her 🥲

Bottomless Pit

I had my 2nd baby on March 8th, and I AM A BOTTOMLESS PIT. Absolutely ravenous. Way hungrier than I ever was while I was pregnant! Tell me I'm not the only one 🥲🙏

Grateful I'm producing a ton of milk, though! Way more than my pregnancy, I need to make more space in my freezer 😅

Over it.

I have officially made it further in this pregnancy than I did with my first. I will be 38 weeks on Sunday and 12 days today until we meet our newest little addition via c section. Who else is over it and ready for a DRINK!!!! being pregnant with a toddler is not for the weak.

When did you go into labour?

I'm 35 weeks and totally freaking out. I feel like baby is going to arrive anyday. So I'm kinda looking for people to comment 37 weeks plus 😅 so I can chill out
