Moms with IBD

Hi just seeing if anyone has had a flare during early pregnancy? I got diagnosed in November but I have had this disease for around 2 years but only just recently been able to have a colonoscopy as I had all my 3 kids within 2.5 years so I was pregnant and they wouldn’t ever perform a colonoscopy on me until I had my kids I did carry them all full term no issues but I’ve noticed I am having urgency and Cramps and blood again I am on mesalazine suppository taken one each night but doesn’t seem to be helping it did at the start but I feel like I’m gonna end up in a bad flare 😫 am I at risk of miscarrying ? Does this effect the pregnancy sorry I’m just so confused and very worried right now I’m going to call the IBD nurses tomorrow see what they suggest xx

I’m 4 months PP and I have been having some symptoms loose stools then constipated, I’ve got borderline low iron and have higher than normal calprotectin in my stool, worried about bowel cancer but wanted to ask what everyone else’s symptoms were of IBD? I also have anal fissures and bad hemmerhoids I am just in a complete mess with my bowels 😪

Just been told after 7 weeks of chronic symptoms and lots of weight loss I very likely have IBD after my faecal and blood tests. Waiting on an urgent referral to gastro. Just feeling so exhausted. I had symptoms in my last pregnancy but right at the end so didn’t get a diagnosis then. Please tell me there’s treatment I can have in pregnancy 😫 Has anyone else lost lots of weight in pregnancy? Any tips?

Hi everyone, I am currently 37 wks pregnant and have remained flare free this pregnancy! I have UC and am terrified of labour and vaginal delivery mostly because of the tearing and any impact it may have to my UC. Any advice from mom's who have been through this? Did you find your delivery had any impact on your UC?

Hi guys 😊 I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and having a bad flare of my UC. Currently waiting to hear from the gastro team for treatment options but just wondering if anyone else had a flare during pregnancy. Just looking for some reassurance/ advice I guess. Feeling little alone and worried. Thanks x
