Hello, interested in positive stories and test results that helped understand the immune system issue.
4 cycle failed. I have asthma, dust allergies. I think RI is going to be my next hope. But very new to the approach. Reading “is your body baby ready” right now.

Hi Oumil. I have a positive story to share. 7 years unexplained infertility. We tried everything and I mean everything. 2 failed FETs which broke my heart. Our last resort before giving up was seeking out a Reproductive Immunologist and it was the best decision we ever made. Inital testing was completed and he found that we had a partial DQ Alpha match. Basically my body attacked the embryo everytime it tried to implant. We had treatment and our 3rd FET was successful. I'm currently 18weeks pregnant. My advice, trust your gut and do what you feel is best. I hope you find your reason and get your BFP. Sending baby dust 💫

Hi if you don't mind me asking - what was your treatment? I have high nk cells and have been put on a treatment plan of steroids. I miscarried our first fet last year whilst still on this so nervous it will happen again.
my clinic did all the very expensive tests and found out my level of natural killer cells was very high. I also have Crohn's distress so it's all immune based. Hopefully having our sendon FET in a few weeks time and just hoping this one works. Good luck to
You. ❤️

can I ask you about your DQ alpha match more? Are you and your partner from the same area generationally? Is it silly to ask? I’m half italian and half French, and my partner is English with a mix of Scottish, so wondering if the genetic match is very unlikely! But I do believe my immune system gets inflamed really badly in general and even worse when I do hormone therapy, so just wondering if the DQ alpha match might be delayed after changing protocol to steroids and anti-histamines.

The treatment for the partial DQ Alpha Match is LIT. They take blood from the male and extract the white blood cells and then that is injected back into the female under the skin of the forearm. I was also found to have high nk cells and we added steroids and clexane into our 2nd FET but unfortunately that failed. We still included it (but increased the dosage) in our 3rd FET and I'm still on both now at 18weeks. I'm sorry for your loss. Hopefully the steroids will be successful for you 🙏

My partner & I are both Australian but our heritage is quite different.
This page seems to explain it quite well and they are from opposite sides of the world and they also shared a match so my guess is it can't be ruled out based on heritage.

If you have the ability to see a RI and get tested at least you'll be able to know what's going on with your immune system for sure. There's so many different things that can affect this TTC journey it makes it all quite difficult. Hopefully you find your answers soon.
