Experience with CRP clinic

I have seen a few posts about the CRP Clinic and I wanted to find out more about your experiences.

I have had my follow-up appointment to receive my test results and treatment plan. I'm feeling very conflicted about next steps as I really want to give ourselves the chance for our next FET to be a success but I'm also worried about taking a whole load of immunosuppressive medication. The protocol is intensive, expensive and the research behind it is sparse (for context I have a scientific background so I've read about it thoroughly). But now I know more about it, I do feel like I could do it.

I'm just finding the clinic odd to deal with. The consultant has been very dismissive of me when I have asked questions and has made claims like its safe and has no long term impact when I know he can't say that based on the data (he can only really say they don't know yet). They provided the costs yesterday after our appointment and have already chased me for payment this morning. They don't really seem to appreciate that this is an add-on and I don't have to go ahead with it. They're being a bit forceful in their communications.

I'd be interested in what others feel as I can only see great reviews from people for whom it worked and a few odd negative reviews.

NK Cell Testing

Hi

Anyone on here had NK cell testing in the UK? Did any places treat you alongside IVF at a different clinic or did you have to go with the place that tested you?

4 years ttc, 4 ivf failures (inc 1 chemical)

The only pregnancy I’ve ever had was my 3rd fresh ivf cycle which resulted in a chemical. I’ve read RI specialise and tend to work for those who have repeated miscarriages but I don’t see many stories about those who have had repeated implantation failure.

Has RI worked for anyone who has had failed ivf attempts? For my last cycle I was hopeful as I was put on low dose steroids, aspirin, clexane and it still failed.

However I’ve never been tested for nk cells, and am wondering if my steroid dose has been too low? I have booked into see a RI in london but the tests are almost 3k and I don’t know if it’s even going to be worth it 😕

Reproductive Immunotherapy stories

Hello, interested in positive stories and test results that helped understand the immune system issue. 4 cycle failed. I have asthma, dust allergies. I think RI is going to be my next hope. But very new to the approach. Reading “is your body baby ready” right now.

To do RI or not? 😕

Hi everyone, I've had a consultation with my current IVF doctor after three failed blastocyst transfers. I have no structural issues so my doctor suggested an emperical route which is to go on prednisolone and vaginal probiotics (I think Gynaflor?)..this is without doing any tests but from I understand both would help with microbiome and immunological issues respectively. Is this worth trying or should I go away and do my own immunology tests (my clinic doesnt do them so I have to find my own one) and the microbiome test? My doctor said that if they found anything, I would be put on the treatment she is suggesting anyway. But I'm guessing the tests could reveal more that could lead to a more personalised treatment plan. Really confused about what to do and obviously don't want to put myself through more endless tests for little gain!
