I bought clothes that suited my pregnant body. I also followed a lot of positive pregnant and birthday accounts alone. Tbh I just focused on the baby side of it and tried to admire that all the changes are because my body is doing something incredible and I should be proud. I took a lot of pictures by force 😂 because I thought I would appreciate it. Now 2 years postpartum I look at how fat my face was and I really appreciate it 😂❤️

Bahaha 🤣 yea I mean I’ve had body issues my whole life. So I think I’m going to just focus on the baby side of it. I am tracking my weight I’m not gunna get upset if the scale goes up. Well…I’m gunna try not to 🫠

I think it’s helpful to remember that your body is gaining weight for good reason, and honestly not to step on the scale at all outside your doctor’s appointments. You can only control so much (exercise, quality nutrition), but things like the number on the scale are beyond your control ❤️

Great tips & 🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏽💗

Great question. I’d add to begin normalizing your body. Look at it often so that it becomes less “traumatizing” to you. Also, find & wear clothes that make you feel beautiful and sexy. Repeat positive affirmations out loud as often as possible and eliminate ALL the diet talk, weight talk and “SnapBack” talk from your atmosphere. Don’t allow yourself or others to set body goals or expectations for your body during or after pregnancy. Congratulations on your pregnancy and blessings on the journey.

thanks! And good for you!

Thank you for this post. I have been body subconscious all of my life and pregnancy weight gain and a toxic family pointing it out really does not help. This feedback is really great, thank you!

I wish I had seen this while pregnant! This is such good advice :) and I hope to do all this during my next pregnancy.
