Experiences of moms smoking weed and eating edibles while pregnant

I found out I was pregnant when I was 25 weeks. I was freaking out because I smoke weed and ate some edibles during the pregnancy. Before take any decision I had an ultrasound to check for abnormalities and after 3 doctors opinions saying baby didn’t have any abnormalities me and my husband decided to have the baby. I stopped smoking and eating edibles. Today I’m 31 week and my baby moves so much. But I’m still very very scared and guilty of not taking care of him the first 2 trimesters. I would like to know about your experiences with the weed or to know about your babies developments. Please!

my baby is developing just fine. she has some eye issues but that’s not due that the weed - your and your little baby are okay mama

I smoke for my nausea every night. i know it’s not a great thing to do but i used to be on meth. so i think i’m doing pretty good for someone out of active addiction. 🤷🏻‍♀️ and i’ve heard it helps calm babies after they’re born but that’s just hear say

I smoked and ate edibles during both of my pregnancies for medical reasons and both of my babies had good deliveries and are healthy, smart, active littles! Best of luck to you, I wouldn't worry about it a bit!

@Morgan I'm from Texas will they take my baby if I have weed In my system I asked around and smoking helps I just don't want my baby taken by cps over weed

@Barbie honestly girl, with how widely legal it is, they're worried about harder things than weed in your system. I haven't heard of a case lately where a mother was proved unfit bc of Marijuana in her system.

@Kristen i used to be on xans so me just smoking was/is such an accomplishment for me!! my baby was rough at first but now she’s the calmest happiest baby

I smoked with all 3 (still do), but with my first I stopped for a month. I had the worst sleep, hip aches etc.. My mid wife and I talked about it, she said this "if it helps you sleep, takes nausea away, and helps while your body adjusts, listen to your body." It's a legal substance and if it helps your body adjust, sleep, and settles your mind... then do what you need to.
