Newborn won't sleep at night.

My newborn will not sleep at night unless she's being held. I've tried putting her in her Moses basket but she's not having any of it. I sit awake all night holding her and feeding her when she wakes. Feed, wind, sleep on me and repeat. Any tips on how to get her used to her bassinet? One exhausted mum here who doesn't know what to try! Note: she will go to sleep in her pram in the day but only if my mum is watching her. She will not sleep in there if I've put her down.

I am in the same boat my new born is 5 days old and she won’t sleep at nihjt unless on me x

@Jenna it's a process darling! I'm 5 weeks in now and she's only just getting there! This week we've managed 3 hours a night 🤣🥰 little wins! Things that have helped me... I have my maternity pillow in the bottom of the basket in a u shape and I put her legs in there/ arms up/ head near top of basket (she won't be swaddled) so it feels like she's being held still. At the top of the basket every 2 days I rotate whatever top I've been (not) sleeping in and tuck all the edges under the mattress so she can smell me. Ollie owl heartbeat noise on. I've got a rotating shape night light thingy and I have that on red so she has something to look at if she wakes. She tends to watch this for a bit and self soothe. Just started doing warm baths or wipe downs every eve before bed. Then a feed, winding, cuddles and story. She's going down a lot quicker now. She does have reflux so her mattress is now on a slight incline with a towel rolled up underneath.

@Jenna I don't think a lot of this would have worked 4 weeks ago honestly. She just wouldn't leave me at all. And I've introduced these 1 by 1 to not overwhelm her too much. Keep at it darling! You will get there! I'm enjoying getting 3 solid hours now 😅

Thank you, i have changed her next to me crib to her moses basket at a night to see if that helps and upped her feeds as she is prem xx

@Jenna it's really hard. The first month I felt like a walking zombie but she's a lot more settled this past week and a half. You've got this lovely! Xx
