Medication other than HRT

Has anyone tried clonidine? If so did it help you? I can't have HRT due to Breast Cancer.

Hi Amanda
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Dec 2021 and was told to come off HRT … my symptoms came back with a vengeance it was unbearable especially the mental ones. I did loads and loads of research, questioned and questioned my oncologist and I made the decision to go back on HRT .. since Jan this this year.
Not many GPs know this but oestrogen pessaries are pretty safe as the dose is very low and localised.
This book is very interesting 👇🏻… Oestrogen Matters by Avrum Bluming, an American oncologist who’s wife and daughter both had BC and are now on HRT.
Don’t get me wrong I didn’t take this decision lightly but with all my research the bens outweighed the risk. It is however a very personal and individual decision. I did have to jump through hoops because as soon as you mention BC to the NHS HRT is automatically declined..: they seem to have this tick box list
I had my first yearly mammogram last week and all clear !! 🥳
