How to have a baby shower while on a budget?

Make as many of the decorations you can. Make the food instead of catered. Look for sales on drinks. 1 good find I had was finding silverware and cups at Ross on clearance one day and just grabbed them lol. Check pintrest for ideas as well. That's what I did. My most recent shower I didn't even do decorations since it was just family and a bunch of kids lol

Try Dollar Tree (if you have one in your area) or ask if anyone has leftover baby shower that will fit with your theme. Also check out Walmart, etc. on baby cakes. My first one was really budget friendly. 😅

Also if some friends or family want to help out, see if they would bring some items for you.

Dont throw your own shower someone supposed to do it for you. If they dont thats kind of a hint they not coming to the shower either. Careful wasting money for nothing

Tbh, you don't need to buy alot for a baby shower. Of course nowadays you see all these fancy and highly decorated baby showers that cost in the thousands of dollars..but it's not necessary. I'd just buys some balloons (pink and blue) from the dollar store and decorate around the area you will be hosting, put a table where the cake and everything will be placed and just a few extra decorations which can all come from dollar store. Even for the games, you can find stuff you probably already have at home (ex. Regular string for 'guess how big belly game').

Pot luck ? Facebook marketplace for cheap/free shower or wedding decorations. Have a jack n Jill and ask good friends to bring some things to raffle with the proceeds going towards the babe

The dollar store has plenty of decorations to choose from. What are you going to do when the shower is over? Throw them away.No one will even know you got anything from the dollar store. 🤗

You can also check your local Facebook marketplace . I’ve seen tons of baby shower decor ( used barely or once) as well as wedding decor that could double up as a shower decor ( chalkboard, centrepieces, silverware ) up for sale at a nominal price

Dollar store for decorations, I get a plain white cake from Walmart and decorate it the way I want. I got my dress off of shein they have a lot of stuff for cheap that doesn't look cheap. If your doing games you can get little gifts from 5 and below or family Dollar. For food either have family or friends cook or get pizza from big y they have these party pizzas that serve 40 people for cheap.
