Toddler senses pregnancy?!

I’m almost 36 weeks and my almost 3-year-old is driving me insane at night! The past week, he’s been trying to shove his head against my crotch, hugging and rocking his belly on mine, trying to peel open my legs to stick his head near my crotch or on my belly and making coo-ing sounds. He doesn’t say many words and I’ve told him a few times he has a baby brother growing in my belly and that’s it. He won’t sleep above the covers either if he sleeps at all, and climbs up my shirt, which is why I’ve had to put him back in his pack-and-play and feel bad because he usually goes to sleep no problem. Is this common?!

i’d be cautious. You’re probably going to give birth soon! Kids just know!!

I’m 25 weeks and my toddler hasn’t been interacting with the bump so much yet but he’s been asking me to hold and rock him like a baby. They definitely sense change is coming!

He’s even doing it in the morning now and I can’t get him off of me, and when I do he whines. I hate getting so irritated with him but it’s ridiculous. Have you heard of it happening before, someone going into labor after belly craziness?

I’m sure it’ll happen! This just started lightly about over a week ago holding or just innocently sleeping next to the belly.
