We’re both keen to have a Welsh adjacent name for a baby boy to honour our heritage but we live in the US and a lot of names won’t cut it here with the spelling and pronunciation 😂 why are girls names so much easier?!
We like the name Griffith (Griff for short) wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. I love Taron and Tudor but those have been veto’d.
Thank you!

Gruffydd was going to be my choice if I was having a little boy 🥰 Here's a few: Bryn, Glyn, Macsen (Macs for short- pronounced Max). Totally agree Welsh boy names are not as lovely as girls 😅 I like Taron too - if you spell it Taran it means thunder 🌩

Llewelyn, Aled, Dewi, Lloyd, Tomos, Carwyn, Elwyn, Wyn, Dai

Alun, Anwyn, Gruffydd, Rhys, Osian, Cai, Dafydd, Dewi, Owain, Rhodri, Siôn, Steffan, Tomos, Wyn, Emyr, Elis, Gethin, Geriant, Iwan, Llywelyn

I’m loving Vaughn, Elwyn and Edwyn at the moment. Bowen, Dewey, Samlet and Rhydian are also lovely. 💙

There's a little boy and his dad is Welsh and mom from USA and his name is Finn

i love the name Griff! either as a nickname for Griffin or Griffith, both of which derive from the Welsh name Gruffydd.💙
