Pronounced (uh-coe-ee) some people say (oh-coe-ee). I know traditional people may not like, but I’m just curious what people think upon first hearing. I’m really big into nature names and there is a river in my hometown that I’ve spent a lot of time around named the Ocoee River.
I’ve seen Ocean/Oceane getting popular, visually they look similar. To me it feels like in the River/ Onyx/ Storm. But what do you guys think?

I personally don't like the name, but it's your baby.

I think you’re going to make your child’s life a lot harder by giving him a name that’s impossible to sight read
I mean it’s kind of spelt like it sounds for the most part, o-coe-e? Even o-co-ee too

Can’t say I’m a fan. While it may share some of the same letters as Ocean, they don’t look similar because Ocean or Oceane is a familiar word in the English language. Ocoee is instantly going to make everyone not familiar with the river inwardly think “how am I even supposed to say that?”

I like that it has personal connection to a body of water in your hometown. Likely people in your area will be familiar with it and won't have issue with pronunciation!
I definitely don’t expect everyone to get it right the first try, it is a Native American derived word so that’s understandable! I feel like it sounds like it looks for the most part!

i love it!!!!

I like it

I actually really like it!

A name of meaning means so much more, if people name children after artists, food and whole countries. why not a river?
Only question is whether you like it. My kids have non traditional bible names and pronunciation is still an issue for most. Be unique.
