Pregnancy after a premature birth

I’m intrigued to know and learn from any other mums who had a premature baby and then had another. I had my little boy very unexpectedly at 32 weeks after going in for a check up due to reduced movements, after lots of test we never found out why it was that he arrived early. My husband and I are taking about having a second child and as much as I really want to have another the thought of having to go through the same just petrifies me. It took me a long time and therapy to come to terms with my sons birth and I don’t know if I could mentally deal with it again. I’d love to hear from anyone else what their experience was like ❤️

I almost had my first at 32 weeks and they thankfully were able to stop my labor but she still came at 35 weeks . Healthy at least . My second I was sick my whole pregnancy but she made it to 37 weeks . My third is where I had complications

Hi, I know I'm late to this but I had the exact same birth as you (or so it seems).... My girl was born at 32 weeks after going in with reduced movements I was taken to theatre quickly after with suspected feotal anemia. They have not found out the cause or even if that was the case. I am only 6 weeks pp, I do have a birth debrief in 2 weeks, but I know I won't get answers (they just don't have them). As she is my first, my constant thought is what about if I want another one. I feel I could not go through this all again I would be full of anxiety. I hope you have made a decision, I'm sure you will be well looked after, but I would love to hear!
