My baby is 12 week and still hates tummy time. Wont go down for more than a couple minutes max before he throws up and screams
However he can sit up and hold his head up
Ive tried everything to get him to go down for longer but doesent matter when i feed hin still the same
Should i be worried about little to no tummy time.
When on his back he will attempt to roll but not quite there yet aha

This is completely normal! Have you got a tummy time pillow or could you roll up a blanket to go under his chest? That helped my daughter.
Little and often tummy time throughout the day is what is recommended.
Remember, tummy time on your chest also counts.

he has pillows. Weve tried balls pillows blankets on our chest. Doesent matter even bath time tummy time. He just spews everywhere 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

My little girl is the same, refuses to hold her head up on the floor. She’s 15 weeks soon and just cries if she’s on the floor x

My lo hates tummy time too will only do it for about 1 min before he cries, we’ve tried every toy we can think of have a pillow, I do it on my chest and he will only do a few minutes, he loves sitting up with me holding him and will stay that that for ages chatting away to me

Does he throw up every time? My little girl hates it too and she’s 12 weeks today (again good head support and I sit her up with my hands for balance and she does really good) I do push her to do 10 minutes twice a day (if we don’t do another ten minutes I think better something than nothing at all) I find doing 10 minutes twice a day is less stressful for her than 5 minutes four times a day.

Don’t overthink it; I think it’s totally fine if you only do a little bit with him❤️ Anything is good just do what you can x

yep. Every time without fail within a couple minutes. He suffers with reflux so doesent help x

My 13 week old hated tummy time but this made her stay longer. She even tries to press the buttons now. Sometimes I’ll have the dancing fruit on during and that helped as well.

how long after feeding him do you do it? (We had some problems earlier with some reflux and she’d throw up a bit) because if it doesn’t matter then a little bit goes a long way if he’s progressing you’re doing great. They also suggest placing them naked on a towel this way they get naked time and tummy time at the same time. I still at her to do this

weve tried half hour. All way up to just before next feed which is normally bout 3 hour. And still the same he does bit but just kinda faceplants even with support but if hes sat up. Can hold his head for agesssss

I think you’re doing the best you can do honey. You sound like you’re trying your best and that makes you a great mum. You’re not failing him and if you keep trying him (maybe try before bath time naked?) maybe he’ll learn to like it eventually!

I have this rattle ball toy thing that I roll around in front of my daughter. The rattle seems to distract her. I roll it from side to side so she follows it too. I also tried the dancing fruit video on my phone in front of her.
You could also try getting down on the ground with them so they can see you. My LO can only just lift her head far enough to see me if I'm sitting in front of her and got some smiles for the first time today but if he can see you as well as hear you he might feel less stressed about it.

My baby can now roll front to back- so if I try and do tummy time he just rolls onto his back! The only way is if I stop him and he’s propped up on a blanket/cushion lol

My daughter is 3 half months and absolutely doesn’t enjoy it
We use her tummy time cushion & get her to stay there for 3 mins and then she’s sick and cry’s out
We just do it 2 times for a few minutes and then at least she’s trying xx
She can hold her head up and can sit up with support xx
Just keep doing it and when he’s done he’s done xx

My little girl hates it too, but she does it on us and can lift her head up and push away from chest with her arms etc she just refuses to do it on the floor. Xx

My little one doesn’t really like it either! To practice I use like a U shaped pillow (looks like those neck pillows for airplane traveling) and set him up there. Then I let him watch a little “hey bear sensory” video and put it in front of him for 5 minutes. It motivates him to lift his head to watch 🤣 I know screen time young is ‘bad’ but that’s what worked for him 🤷♀️ I also carry him face down and support his belly and chest with my hands, if that makes sense. It’s basically the same position but in the air instead of on the hard floor. Mine loves the position! Like he’s flying through the air! X

My daughter also absolutely hates it, one thing that does kind of help is if she’s completely naked 😅 no nappy or anything , I just put a soft towel or blanket down and let her do some tummy time with her clothes off and she actually kind of enjoys it xx

We don't do much tummy time at all - 14 weeks.... he absolutely hates it it's not an issue I dont think so we don't force him. He's happy otherwise ☺️

we tried this today and she wasn’t as upset
