Gagging or Choking?

How to spot the difference between gagging and choking. Later this week I will be posting an in depth video about how to help a baby who is choking. This will include first aid techniques, things to avoid doing, when to seek medical help and some tips on how to avoid choking.

@Sarah I do, well sort off. Sometimes when a baby is choking their face will go red initially so I wouldn’t encourage you to wait to see if they go blue. Also sometimes when a baby is choking you may hear some sounds a baby tries but is unable to inhale so not always quite silent. The rhyme is great to help people remember how gagging and choking differ but I don’t tend to use it as it could cause some confusion x

Would you agree with the saying "loud and red go ahead, silent and blue...they need you"? Xx
