Struggling with anxiety seeing my baby with all the monitors and cords and going home with an empty car seat. Also feeling a bit of guilt like maybe I did something that made him come early. I just want to know everything will be ok and that I’ll be able to hold him soon

Aww I’m going through the same thing my baby boy came at 31 weeks and it was very scary, he’s also in the Nicu thankfully breathing on his own and not on oxygen but the guilt it real. I sit here all day and watch his progress, I have no advice honestly but if you need someone to chat to I’m here.

Hi ladies! I’m just here to say, it does get better!
My baby was born at 31 weeks exactly.
He legitimately kicked his way out. I thought I had done something wrong because I was so miserable in my pregnancy. But the truth is, these things just happen. Your NICU team is on and taking care of your baby. Giving him what he needs. I had the worst anxiety and depression during our time, but someone told me he was exactly where he needed to be to get the best care possible and somehow it made me feel so much better.
That feeling of walking out of the hospital doors with your baby in hand when the time comes is so much better than you can imagine. Stay strong mama!

It’s so hard! Especially if it’s your first. I did it all right and my girl came at 28 weeks 5 days and spent 96 days in NICU and came home on oxygen. Now she’s almost two and she’s thriving! You’d never know she was a premie. It’ll get better mom! Just hang in there!

34 weeks!! Mine came at 33+5 so similar to yours and he was fine after a short stay that felt like forever. These preemies are tough cookies and baby boy is in the perfect place for what he needs!! Rest, heal and prep ready for his homecoming 🙂

Wow!! Reading this post gives me even more hope as my babygirl is condensing feeds and learning to bottle/breast feed. Being born at 32 weeks this has been a JOURNEY and I can’t wait to walk out with her in my arms.
