My son decided he was coming super early , 17 weeks early , he weighed 1.5 pounds and is now in his incubator home for the foreseeable future , my heart hurts and i miss him but hes had a great 24 hours so im proud of him , i just want to cry i feel like i failed my son i just want him back safe with me and i know thats silly but i need to know im not alone

Struggling with anxiety seeing my baby with all the monitors and cords and going home with an empty car seat. Also feeling a bit of guilt like maybe I did something that made him come early. I just want to know everything will be ok and that I’ll be able to hold him soon

Hi all! I had my baby girl at 34 weeks and we've been in special care for 2 weeks due to her undeveloped lungs. We have had issues with feeding (bottle and breast) and her oxygen dropping low during her meals. She is making great improvements, but has anyone else felt pretty heavy anxiety about taking your little one home and having issues? My husband and I are very nervous we won't be able to "catch" her drops because we won't have a consistent way to monitor her once she's home. The special care team has been wonderful at reassuring they wouldnt send her home until she's ready, but we still feel uneasy. Any device recommendations and/or advice would be appreciated! My daughter is 16 months old and not yet walking, she is close but just not doing it yet, she was 3lbs at birth and born at 34 weeks. Should I be concerned?

Hi guys! Premie mom here! I just wanted to say hi and ask a question. Anyone else get bad mom guilt, like they failed or could’ve done something to prevent an early arrival? I had severe preeclampsia with my son which caused us to have an emergency c-section, so I logically know I couldn’t have prevented it but it still hurts some days. Anyone else feel like that?
