Hipp organic or kendamil?!

Hey everyone! Just want peoples opinions please…(my baby is currently on Aptamil!)
My baby suffers with reflux very bad to the extent most of his bottles just come up he’s sick all the time, also suffering with colic to the extent he screams for 4hrs straight every night and nothing calms him down, and now he’s suffering with constipation. So 3 things to consider… doctors are pretty useless wanting to give Gaviscon making constipation worse so he’s now not taking that it made him even more in pain and was just awful so I’ve booked another appointment with a different doctor now to see if they can really help and prescribe other things for colic and reflux and consipation but in the mean time do people think hipp organic or kendamil will be better for these 3 things in their experience? I know every baby is different but still intriguing to know peoples thoughts! Thanks in advance x x

Thank you so much for your comment lovely! He’s currently on MAM bottles so definitely will stick with them then. Before his reflux was at its worst weeks ago we used infacol and it helped with his colic and settling his tummy but made his reflux worse due to the orange and other things in it so we stopped it… we then went to gripe water and again that’s amazing was working until his reflux got to its worst and now we cannot keep the gripe down! So frustrating because gripe water was really working wonders!:-( tried colief, tried all different drops other than colief too.. tried everything. It’s hard to find something that helps both.. either makes one thing better and the other worse or whatever it’s so draining .. 🙁 so thought I need to definitely try a new milk see if that helps the colic and reflux together. What do these babies do to us mummy’s hey! 🫣 thank you for your time lovely xxx

Kendamil if between these two. Otherwise Nannycare (or another brand is also Danalac) goats milk formula, that's what we're on since day one. It's expensive but read reviews before choosing 😊 fingers crossed for you

Our little girl has colic and reflux and is on kendamil, milk changes won't necessarily help as its down to the muscle usually just being immature. But I know kendamil seems to run that bit more gentle. Apparently it's closest to aptamil too but we've noticed her poops are closer to that of a breast fed baby than typical formula fed which our midwives and hv have also noticed. The comfort or reflux milks are thicker and how it can be kept down easier but I know they can cause constipation too. We used carobel to help thicken but she couldn't tolerate that either. We found a mix of ready made a day and mixed up formal has helped her the best and reduced a lot of the issues bar still a little sick. She's on omeprazole now and is a lot more comfortable with out the burning of reflux at least but is still quite sickly, though not projectile anymore and usually less. I hope something gives for your little one soon 💜 seems wild it takes so long for their digestive systems to kick in properly 🥺 so cruel for them x

When my baby was first born I put him in kendamil and he really struggled with trapped gas and was quite constipated and would be screaming all night trying to go, we changed him on to Hipp and he’s a totally different baby going to the toilet with no problems. Every baby is different tho so don’t be afraid to go with different formulas and try them out. I’m just here sharing my experience with both formulas ❤️

Hipp Organic is given to premature babies as more delicate.

If your baby is sensitive to formula Kendamil might be too rich as whole milk formula xx

I’d said kendamil organic. We currently use Hipp organic and have done since birth but he seems to be getting constipated with it now and are making the switch to Kendamil organic. But it really depends on your baby. We’ve also tried Nannycare goat
Formula and that made him worse. Kendamil do a goat milk formula too whjch is supposed to be good x

never heard of these two brands! I’m definitely going to have a look into both of these! Thank you so much x

That is what worries me that I need it to be thicker so he keeps it down more, a little bit of sick I understand but the whole bottles are coming up! We keep him up when fed, wind often etc etc followed it all.. so needs to be thicker I think but that’s my worry I understand it may cause constipation and he’s already suffering with that so that’s the only annoying thing ! It’s so hard when he’s suffering with colic, reflux and constipation all together at once! We use ready made aswell as the powder too, haven’t noticed a difference :-( I got a feeling maybe Aptamil just isn’t for him maybe I don’t know. Got doctors tomorrow, interested to see what this doctor says! Thank you so much and don’t be sorry for the essay I truly appreciate your time in writing so thank you! It is cruel for them, kills me to see him suffering all the time!! Xxx

I think that’s what I need to do, I just need to go for it and try out different formulas. I think I just get scared changing them incase he gets worse or poorly but I guess that’s the only way to find out what works best for him by trying out different formulas really! Thank you so much for sharing your experience ❤️ xx

ah I see! Thank you lovely xx

that’s the annoying thing. He suffers with infacol due to it making his reflux worse… even though it’s really bad anyway then gripe water he can’t keep down due to the reflux. Reflux and colic mixed together is an absolute nightmare! So annoying 😞 thank you for your message xx

ah I’ll look into these definitely then!! Thank you so much for your message xx

Did you make the switch? How did it go?

Please please if you could afford higher price (£20 for 900g tub) have a look at goats milk formulas reviews. We are on Nannycare from day 1.

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

Deodorant

Ladies what deodorant are we all using?

Since the sun has finally remembered to exist and we've been going on more walks I STINK. I smell like I've been laying on the beach in the sun covered in oil all day. All just after going for a walk.

I know a lot of people struggle with this postpartum but it's so embarrassing!

I just can't seem to find one that works for me?

Help!?!

First wake window

How do you spend first wake window with your baby?
I am not morning person so I struggle to be all happy at 6-7am 🤣 and since first one is quite short (1.5 hrs - what is yours btw? 🤔) then what do you do in that time?
I won’t lie. Baby wakes up at 6.30am and I’m just waking up slowly on my own for the first 30 min while he is chilling next to me 🙈
Do you stay in bed and play there or do you leave bed and move around etc?

5 ounces of formula every 3 hours?

Hi,

My 6 week old is having 5 ounces of formula every 3 hours like clockwork. He is 4&1/2 kg and the doctors are very surprised. Is this normal?

Doctors said a baby of this age should be having 3 ounces. And i should look to reduce the amount but Baby cries after i give him 3 ounces but calm when hes had 5 ounces.

6 week old wont wake for bottle

Hi all, my little one has been unusually sleepy the past few days and has been much quieter. When she is fussing , its not her usual cries and high pitched moans, shes been moaning in a very low pitch which almost sounds like extremely weak cries.

Shes been asleep for almost 4 hours, which is unusual for the day. Usually she gets hungry every 2 hours so ive changed her nappy and tried to wake her about an hour ago and had no luck.

Tried talking to her and stroking her and shes just been a little jumpy but still not woke up.

Is this normal, im worried she may be ill but there arent any other signs like a fever/ high temp/ or sniffles.
