poly is when more than one person is actively in a relationship with one another

One time fun is not but an actual triad is poly. There are 4 relationships in a triad. Person's A+B+c and all individual

threesome isn’t poly. swingers. people who unicorn hunt and even monog couples who occasionally experiment do threesomes. Poly couples may have a third they’re both in a relationship with, a third that one is in a relationship with or they just allow both parties to openly date and build relationships with others whether that be intimate or strictly sexual.

Not. My husband and I are poly and our outside relationships are separate from each other. It's not ethical to look for another person as a couple, that's called unicorn hunting and it's very inconsiderate of the other people you try to bring into the relationship.
