Cold drinks/foods after transfer

This may sound silly but I have heard that if you eat cold foods and drinks after transfer, it can make your uterus cold and could affect implantation. Is this true?? I was drinking smoothies to get more antioxidants in but the thought of warming it up somehow sounds very unappealing! Any insights on good foods to eat post transfer would be much appreciated (note I had one grade 2AB embryo transferred yesterday) ❤️

I had a McDonald’s milkshake on the drive home after my transfer. I’m now 19 weeks. It’s all old wives tales with no basis. It’s down to the embryo whether it sticks.

I asked my consultant about this and she laughed at me…she said it’s one she had never heard before. She said cold drinks were absolutely fine which I was relieved to hear because the transfer before I was drinking all my water luke warm and it was bloody awful! X

I did this and only ate and drank warm food and drink because my acupuncture practitioner told me it's to do with having a 'cold womb' and I need to have a 'warm womb' for it to work (it's based on Chinese medicine). I still failed ...
So honestly don't worry about it. Fingers crossed for you xx

I drank plenty of ice water and stuck to my usual diet after my first FET. I’m now 5 weeks:)

Not cold , but McDonald’s chips and I went straight there after transfer and it worked 👌 maybe be a wife’s tail but worked for me x

it's funny you say that because I just read about that somewhere else on here and went straight out and got some. Idk if there is a chips window but I don't have anything to lose!

Honestly I had McDonald’s after every transfer I had , first 2 times I had pancakes 3rd time chips x

my doctor asked me what I had planned for the rest of the day after transfer . I said I’m going to McDonald’s he laughed and said to get chips 🤣

Just do everything you can to make it stick! A warm uterus its important! That’s why we were socks during these procedures. If you have acupuncture, that’s why the heat lamp is always on.

McDonalds fries do the trick!! And warm soups & comfort foods

There’s no scientific backing to cold drinks playing any impact at all. I went home with ice cold drinks with my fries and I have a 2 year old and am 21 wks pregnant with #2. Most things are just wives tales and I looked at them more like a bonding ivf thing than anything that was going to make or break my transfers

Can baby mamas be friends?

My son has an older brother from his biodad. Biodad has never had contact with my son. One thing lead to another though and the other child's mother and I got in contact and are planning a meeting for the boys. Biodad has no idea any of this has happened. Biodad also hasnt had contact with the other child in about 2 years. Just thoughts, opinions, anyone been through something similar?
Edit-Thank you all! Have definitely been feeling somewhat weird about it because we never met before but now know it can be a good thing definitely helps. I can't wait for them to meet. My son has been asking for a brother and I can now happily tell him he has one. That just happens to be 13. Im sorry for yall that fight/have issues with the other baby mamas. Sadly some women rather be stuck on the men, when the kid is the one who really matters. They're the ones that end up getting hurt and missing out.

Is it normal to test positive still? (Wouldn't usually do one)

Not the best pic and clearer in person. Is this normal? I've not had any sex since having my LO but I've had strong cravings, sense of smell is strong and my hair still hasnt started to fall out. Im 7 weeks pp so 🤷‍♀️ I wouldnt normally bother testing but with those symptoms that I never really have its like whats going on. Cravings for something very specific too and can only get from KFC now 😩 so its annoying

When did you get a strong positive?

Tested last Friday got a positive faint did a digital said 1-2 weeks which would be about right 4 weeks at the time. Did another this morning still faint…. Slightly worried about it being chemical if it isn’t getting darker. Should I be using all the same type tests?
