Child prefering one parent at night time

Hi all, My 20 month old used to be an okay sleeper, she didn't mind what parent put her to bed so we would take it in turns. For the last four weeks she has screamed and cried everytime her dad has tried to do bedtime with her, to the point where I've had to take over and she stops within a few minutes and ends up going to sleep. Is there anything we can do? My partner is feeling rejected and I'm exhausted as I have her and our 5 month old all day whilst my partner is at work. Our little girl is absolutely fine with her dad the rest of the time. Please help!

This is very developmentally normal for this age. My son is 25 months and will NOT let me hold him at bedtime. My husband has to hold him while we both sing to him before we put him in his crib. If my husband is not home, then my son is totally fine with me holding him before nap and bedtime.

Maybe make bed time fun and they can do reading time together like let him bathe her and then you settle her if that works but definitely see if that little routine will help if this is visible for your family balance.

Mine was so like this, we just perserved and one day she was just like ok! He now does every bedtime and I get told bye bye mummy, you go to bed now! It will happen x
