Baby sleep

Waking every hour 😭

My 15 week old son wakes every hour or half an hour at night I think he's uncomfortable with trapped wind. We do bicycle legs, winding, and infacol. Nothing works. He seems to be getting worse with his sleep. Can anyone give any advice please? I'm absolutely exhausted and it's starting to get me down now 😒

Baby sleep

I think i’ve got a clinger.

I have 4 week old twins, one sleeps decently but the other one is impossible. Trying to juggle both of them on my own when my partner is at work is ridiculously difficult as it is but she won’t let you put her down… I could understand if we always had hold of her, but we don’t!

I always start the feeds with her as her sister is a bit more chilled and can get away with leaving her in the cot for an extra 30 minutes but as soon as she’s done with her feed, burping, nappy change etc and when it comes to swapping over for twin 2’s feed she just won’t have it and screams bloody murder.

She won’t settle in the cot no matter how tired she is, the only way I can get her to sleep is if she’s strapped to my chest in the sling for half an hour but even then, when it comes to transferring her (as smoothly as possible) into the moses basket, the minute she’s in it’s back to the crying and screaming.

Any tips or advice would be desperately welcome!

Back in the trenches

15 month old has never been a great sleeper but we’re now at a point where I don’t really know what else to do.

He has 1.5-2 hours of daytime sleep at midday, at nursery 3 or 4 days a week so a tonne of sensory input. Regular and consistent bedtime routine where he’s usually asleep between 7.30-8pm and goes down with some gentle pats but ultimately on his own.

Overnight though? Whenever he wakes it’s the end of the world. He just screams and screams. Sometimes I can get him back down but usually it’s co-sleeping for the rest of the night. This can be anywhere from 10pm to 12am, rarely later.

Recently he’s been waking at 4-5am and screaming his head off, even after some milk and / or nurofen. It’s killing me, both in terms of sleep deprivation and the sheer feeling I am failing as a mum by not being able to comfort him and get him enough rest.

My other half is now set on CIO or Ferber as our only options and to be honest I can’t see what else to do. Just feeling really deflated and like I have failed completely.

Baby sleep

4-month regression

My baby boy is just over 4 months old and the sleep regression has started. Does anyone have a tips on how I can get past this stage, he is up every 30 mins - 1hr 30mins. It isn’t always for a feed but most of the time I think he just wants comfort. I am really struggling, I am so exhausted and don’t know what to do.

Also his feeding during the day is still every 1hr 30 mins - 2 hrs, he is EBF and I thought he would be going longer by now and when he feeds it is for no longer than 10 mins sometimes even less.

So if anyone has any advice, suggestions or tips that could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Advice help and tips please ❀️

Hi ladies,

Looking for some advice along with maybe some tips….

My little boy is 12 weeks old this Sunday but was six weeks early so is only six weeks corrected.

He’s currently having 5oz every 3-4 hours though-out the day and then 6oz on his last bottle before bed about 8/9pm. After this bottle he always settles a really well and will sleep anywhere up to 2/3am.

We then do another feed normally about 5oz again and we up for about an hour by the time he’s fed and settled back down and when I transfer him back to his next to me he’s always in a deep sleep but everytime he’s awake again about 30/40 mins after being transferred and needs about another 30 minutes to an hour be settled back down. Sometimes for him to then wake again at 4/5am for a feed and we repeat the whole process again 🫠.

I’m not expecting him to sleep through the night yet, but how can I get him to be more settled after this night feeds and get him to stay asleep?

Thank you in advance 🩡
