Is there any financial help for multiples?

Hey guys so we have just found out that we are not eligible for any government help/funding and I can’t tell you how angry I am! The fact that even child benefit is deducted for the second born is ridiculous. I am on maternity pay which is literally pennies and my partner is a postman not a footballer so he is having to work so many extra hours which is draining for him. Surly there is some help out there! Thanks and apologies for the rant 🥰

I feel your pain. Unless you’re on full whack benefits you get nothing except the child benefit 😣 I think we should get double smp!!!

We're in the same position and now my mat leave is over, I can't afford to send them to nursery and go back to work, my partner leave the house at 4:30, comes back at 5 and works Saturdays, we never see him. Theres nothing extra for twins but if you join the twins trust they have deals and money off for things like shoes from time to time xx

@Hannah absolutely! If we had two babies at separate times we would get two smp!

Hey ladies I have twins and I get one monthly payment of child benefit for them

Nothing! We are also really disappointed with the gov, we started the day feeling hopeful then felt like it was a kick in the teeth! When my mat leave ends I’m not sure what we are going to do, sending the twins to nursery costs more than I earn and we don’t have any family who can take them it makes me so sad because I love my job!

Awww it disgusting isn’t it! We need more financial help not less! I’m the exact same, my partner works 6 days a week and most days is out of the house 14 hours which is hard on all of us!! 🙄

Unfortunately there isn't any help . I found out this when I had my twins . I was working up until 36 weeks pregnant and wasn't on any benefits but still couldn't get any help with chilecare to go back to work straight away. I couldn't afford two lots of nursery fees and it wouldn't have been worth me working in a children nursery as my wadge would have gone back to them to look after my twins. They now get the 3-4 year old 30 hours funding as I'm working which is a huge help for me .
