Weight checks

When I rang the HV to get my 7 month old booked in to be weighed they said that they were only.doing emergency weigh ins and unless I had a concern about my LO weight then I would have to wait until.her year check up. When she was born I asked about drop in weigh in centres and got informed they don't run drop in weigh ins anymore you just have to ring and book an appointment. I live bridgnorth so I'm not sure if this is the same in ludlow but I imagine it will be xx

Thanks. Seems crazy they don’t offer this service! They seem to have drop in/ non-manned places in Worcester where you can go get weighed but not by a HV so might have to do a drive / resort to luggage scales or something!

@Juliette they normally do offer it for you whenever you want babies weighed you just ring up but I was told they are so short staffed at the moment they are having to prioritise the emergency patients ones with worried regarding their weight gain. What my mum suggest is to weigh yourself first know how much you weigh yhen pick baby up and weigh again and just subtract your weight and that will give you babies weight or as close to as possible x
