sleep deprived SOS
My 3 year old son used to have a set sleeping schedule about 6 months ago going to bed at 8PM or 9PM every night and waking up at 8AM or 9AM every morning. Then out of the blue he doesn’t want to go to bed until 12AM sometimes even later, being 1AM or 2AM and sleeping in until 12PM. I have tried just about everything when it comes to creating a better bedtime routine such as, nighttime baths, putting his PJ’s on and brushing his teeth, tucking his favorite teddy bear to sleep with him and still nothing. Some nights he falls asleep on his own early and some nights he just doesn’t want to stop playing. Sometime he lays in his bed for about 30 minutes watching his show (I have a timer for when it turns off) and once his show is over he’ll come to mine and my fiancés room trying to play some more. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant stressing over these sleeping patterns trying to get a resolution quick. Any advice?! 😭
He could he going through a growth spurt? My Daughter has been putting up a fight recently to go to bed. Only incentive I have is giving her something to look forward to for the next day, like a long walk, or the park. She stops fighting us then. Theb goes to sleep and stays in her bed.
