Visiting

I am having a section soon and I was wondering how long the partners are allowed to stay with you for? I had one in 2021 but he had to leave when I left the recovery ward and book a slot for the next day, so I am hoping that's changed. Also what about families can the visit?

I had my baby in January and I'm sure it was 9-9 for partners and family could visit anytime during this. They didn't have specific times for visiting but they did say 3 people but they didn't seem to be strict on that rule x

I had a section 8 weeks ago yesterday and my husband was pretty much allowed in whenever. The day our son was born he didn't leave until after 11 and it was 10 the following day and was up for 9am. Visiting I am sure is 12 to 8 xx

Partners can come and go whenever but cant sleep in the beds or wards. Visiting for anyone else is 11-8, i just done my antenatal classes in the hospital and thats the new rules. But they do stress no sleeping for partners anywhere within hospital grounds they must go elsewhere x

When was your first baby born?🩷🩵

My SIL is adamant her 1st baby will come at 37 weeks but she’s wanting 36 weeks! No reason for this other than she’s fed up of being pregnant🫣 she’s not quite 32 weeks yet I don’t think!
Out of interest when did everyone’s first baby arrive?
Mine were 40+2 and 40+4

Do you think it’s rude for well of grandparents to not ask what your soon to be 5 year old wants for their birthday

His birthday is in 3 days and nobody has even mentioned it. I dropped hints a few times like oh yeah we are going out for his BIRTHDAY that day etc lol. They just aren’t interested and couldn’t be bothered to get him something I guess.
With my daughter who’s older they used to get her lots of gifts.

Can someone describe contractions to me?

I’m having random pain in different parts of my belly and pelvis and I have a backache. I also had loose bowels earlier, and I feel baby girl moving super low in my pelvis. Is this early labour? My consultant OB wanted me to go to the local hospital at the first sign of labour (because I’m supposed to be delivering at a hospital farther away) but I was just there last night and basically no sign of labour. I don’t want to go for a false alarm.
Thanks!

Animal Names for Boys 🐆

I’m thinking of a few uncommonly used animal names for a boy (example: Fox, Wolf, Bear, Colt, etc.). I like that it’s distinctive, sporty, and has a big energy. Will it wear well in everyday life as he grows?
Any and all thoughts & opinions welcome below! 🙃

Exhaustion

I have a 12 month old and also 8 weeks pregnant. I have neeeever felt this exhausted before. Like I feel like I take naps but I am still so tired. I am still not sleeping well through the night because my 12 month old wakes up around 3x throughout the night. I just feel like I am barely hanging in there and feel like I am constantly running on fumes. Anyone else in this same boat feeling this way or is this just not normal?
