sudden movements during sleep

My baby is 8 weeks old and has a good night time routine. When I watch her on camera, she moves her arms, legs and head A LOT! I’ve looked it up and it says it’s common but it upsets me so much as a new mum. Is this actually normal? Does it mean her brain is just active? Can’t wait till she sleeps peacefully and doesn’t disturb herself :(

If she's not rolling over, maybe try a swaddle. We do with our LG and it works wonders. She stopped waking herself up. No idea what to do whe she starts rolling, hopefully she'll settle more by then x

Our little lady sometimes gets her legs to the same level as the top of her next to me cot. Swear she is doing some kind of acrobatics. Just woke up and somehow she managed to put herself in the bottom corner of it too heheh. Must have shimmied. Don't worry. Totally normal sometimes I can see arms and legs shifting left right and centre.

Completely normal, it’s them in active sleep which is where they spend 50% of their time when asleep. It’s important to leave them and not wake them up. Let them move about :) they’ll often do this between sleep cycles. They may also cry in their sleep. I tend to watch closely and you soon get to learn when to leave them vs when they need you. Is she in the same room as you? X
