I have not had it but I just started the process to get it. It’s hard but so far it’s worth it.

I have been looking at going to Mexico to get it done but I don’t feel my husband is very supportive of it

I'm just curious if you've tried medication (I know it can be harder to approve than weight loss surgery)? I had success with metformin and ozempic combined. Had to stop ozempic to get pregnant but lost weight and kept most of it off when i went off it (gained 5 lbs but also could be pregnancy related). My doctors didn't think weight loss surgery would be a good solution for the long term, but everyone is different. I think finding a good clinic that can provide all your options is a great place to start. Both meds cut my appetite and cravings, and I learned to eat much better with dietician and exercise started making a difference again. Even now that I'm off of it, i feel more aware of what I'm eating when I'm really hungry and can manage cravings even though I'm pregnant. I'm diagnosed with a metabolic disorder, so medication did help with that. There are some other new weight loss meds coming on the market that are supposed to be better than ozempic. Just wanted to share my experience

I did do the shots and metformin but it did not work well for me. I turn 41 next week and I just feel this will over all a better choice than taking these medications. It’s a life change for me.

Totally understand. It doesn't work for everyone, just some people don't even know it's an option.

I understand and thank you. Everyone’s experience is different and some things work and some don’t. And some options are not for some people

I’ve had success with Ozempic but I have to take it for my diabetes. A friend is currently going through the classes for weight loss surgery and is scheduled later this year. He says it’s a lot of information and a life change but definitely manageable.

I struggle and thinking of doing it but it’s been hard to lose the weight
