Muslin squares, cloths and blankets

Those of you who use muslins. How many do you think you need?
For context I’m planning to breastfeed and plan to use them as nursing covers, hubby and I use them to sleep as covers as it’s too hot for duvet, we dampen them to keep us cool, planning on using it for wiping up spit up/reflux, muslin squares as bibs, as blankets for baby etc.

Just feel like we’ll need them everywhere and won’t have enough!

We have loads of Muslins and honestly they are constantly being used and washed 😂 I would say we have at least 15 maybe nearing 20 but we were gifted quite a few!

15 doesn't sounds excessive. We use quite a few daily. Cover ups, wiping spit up, putting on the change mat etc. More the better!

We have closer to 50! We also use them for boosting cloth nappies. We got some super soft, super absorbent bamboo ones to use as newborn nappies with a waterproof wrap. I got all of them second hand on Facebook MP for a grand total of about £5

15/20 ish.
I have a range of sizes too for different things.
M&S basics are great for burping, wiping his face after a feed, popping over him as a blanket when hot.
Bibs are the perfect size for bathing (underneath and over him) and for a bit more blanket cover.

I think I have around 20 and I’d say I have about 3 or 4 on the go 🤣 can never have too many and how many you’d need depends on how much washing you do, or would like to do xx

I got about 30 with my first and thought it was ridiculous but you really do use them I’ve bought more for my second and left some at my mums so we know we always have some around

I am here for all these comments ladies! 😍
I really want to buy some more and I’ve seen some lovely ones about.
We currently have about 14 with a mix of large (4), medium (4) and muslin squares (6) but it just doesn’t feel like that many when you need them everywhere! xxx

My mum suggesting leaving some at their house too, hence why I was also thinking some more might be useful!

Swaddle Vs sleeping suit.

Which one seems to work better for your baby? I am ftm, with a 4week old, I am not entirely sure what is the best option to get him to sleep restfully for a few hours between feeds.

Stop breastfeeding

Breastfeeding (expressing) is affecting my mental & physical health, my breasts constantly hurt, even when I express, I need to get checked to discard mastitis, but my mental health isn't good too, so I just want to stop producing milk.
I'm recovering from a C-Section, my body looks like a disgrace and my scar got infected twice and had to had antibiotics, I'm constantly uncomfortable.

GP has suggested to stop producing milk the natural way, but when I try, the pain is unbearable and it seems like my body wants to produce even more milk. I'm exhausted and I feel like I can't cope with it anymore.
Luckily my baby is mostly formula fed and any breastmilk has been given to him in bottles anyway, and he seems healthy & happy.

Has anyone stopped producing milk the natural way? I asked for medication and they said they can't prescribe it unless a major medical reason 😔

Colostrum harvesting

Anyone else having real difficulty?? So demoralising. I was wondering if people have any tips…

Also how long should you try for? I’m getting minuscule drips but nowhere near even 0.1ml. 🥺

Thanks in advance

Silly question

My 1 week old seems to barely be awake, I know wake windows are really short at this age but is it normal for him to only be awake 1-2 hours a day?!
