Maxi-cosi pebble 360

Does anyone have this car seat and the familyfix 360 base? We put it on my hubbys car yesterday and feels like it moves quite a bit 🤔 I know they should move for impact but I don’t know how much is normal 🤷🏼‍♀️

We’ve found this with ours too, we’ve got the bugaboo/nuna car seat and base, and my MIL has a joie one, both of them seem to wobble quite a bit!

Your isofix base will wobble slightly on the anchor points but it won't ever detach 😊 just make sure the leg is pushed into the floor properly to stabilise as much as possible

We’ve got to the same car seat. I said exactly the same thing to my partner. I said it wobbles a little it’s definitely in right isn’t it. So glad others feel similar. I just need to get the hang of getting in and out now 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes! I went back to John Lewis for a fit check and they confirmed it’s in correctly, they removed the mat in the footwell so the leg was more stable. It’s normal to wobble side to side a bit x

Thank god haha I thought he’d done it wrong and was blaming him 😂😂 whoops! 😬 I’m gonna try it in my car too and see what it’s like but I won’t be driving for a while with having a section xx

Yes!!! Have the exact same base but have the Cybex seat there’s like green bits that show it’s all correctly in, but it feels like it moves around a lot. Husband just brushed it off but I was like surely that’s not normal 🧐 I was going to go to Mamas and Papas to get a fit check but glad to hear I’m not the only one who thought this! 🤣

Ours was a little like this at first and we noticed it was because all the green tabs weren’t showing, the foot well one was on red which meant it wasn’t secure! Now it’s on green it feels much sturdier x

It's actually meant to wobble a little bit for it to be safe! As long as the green tabs are all okay then it'll be fitted probably (my cybex has green and red tabs). In an accident you need a bit of give in the base to help with the impact - if it was rock solid it would break easier and be more damage to baby

Just got the same one ! Thanks for the heads up ! Otherwise I would definitely be telling hubby he installed it wrong 😅

I’m sorry but does anyone else find it secretly satisfying when …

When you were the first of your friends to have kids and they low key fell out of your life, never supported you, and ghosted you a little and now they’re having their first pregnancy and they start reaching out for help and advice.

My friend just called crying because her parents called her fat at 25 weeks pregnant (she looks normal). She was obviously very upset and I let her know they were assholes and not to worry.
My parents did the same thing to me with my weight and non of my childless friends understood or gave a shit.

I worry about my age

I’m 39 and have a 4yo and am 33 weeks with my second. I’ll be 40 in September. And honestly, I’m kinda sad about it. I wish I’d started having babies earlier. I worry that when this baby turns 20, I’ll be 60. My parents are in their 60s now and they’re getting so much joy from being with their grandkids and I’m worried I’m not going to be too old to really enjoy them.

I love my husband, but sometimes I wish we’d found each other sooner and had babies earlier. IDK. I’m just feeling sad about the passage of time.

This will be a topic at my next therapy session lol

Thanks for letting me vent.

Do you usually listen to your body/intuition when you feel weird around someone or get bad vibes around someone?

I have had incidents in the past where my body had this involuntary feeling around certain people. I was unsure what exactly their intentions were during that time but I found out that my intuition was right. Except theh ended up being worse than I realized. A mutual friend told me about one of those people threatening to kill behind my back. (He went to jail for that after that) and the other person was a lady who was trying to get me in trouble when I was innocent. My social anxiety is off the charts after these traumatic experiences. There is someone else in my life now who gives off very mixed vibes. On one hand he is nice to my face. He seemed to have good intentions for the most part even if I didn't agree with everything he does. (We agree on a lot of things but he also does a lot of things that I don't agree with.) But now I am at a point where I feel panic anytime he is around me. I feel so judgemental but almost anytime that I ignored my intuiton and gave the people the benefit of the doubt it got worse. Its made my trust issues worse and made me afraid to get close to anyone whether it is a friend or family member or partner.

Nursing to sleep?

So my baby is 6 months old now and I’ve always nursed him to sleep and for the first few months we were blessed with a good sleeper, he’s hit a sleep regression, but only on nights I’m home. I work weekend nights and he sleeps great for my husband but when I’m home he’s back to waking up every 2-3 hours. We’ve followed the same bedtime routine as when I go to work and he’s on the same nap schedule but it’s like when I’m home he wakes up to use me as a pacifier. My husband thinks we should sleep train but I just feel so sad not comforting him to sleep. Is this temporary or does it actually create a bad habit?
