I am pregnant with my third and final baby, and I've just found out it's boy number 3. I love my two boys but I have this feeling of great loss that I'm having another, I was desperate for a girl. I really want a chance at having a mother daughter relationship which now I will never have.
But then I feel guilty, I'm pregnant with a healthy baby what more could I possibly want? And who knows in 15 years time one or more of the boys could identify as a toaster or a dog and really the bits that they are born with really doesn't mean anything anymore, but I just can't help longing for a girl. I've been crying constantly about it and then the sheer guilt that I have for feeling this way

I’m sorry you feel this way. We’re pregnant with our 2nd girl. Idk if we can afford a third, but I want a little guy- but worried it would be a 3rd girl.

I’ve just found out the same and I’m also in a right state so totally feel you sending hugs, do you feel any better? X

All I can say is I completely relate to you in everything you mentioned above. I could feel the ultrasound tech judging me when I got the news, another boy. I couldn't stop crying. Like you said above, health should be the most important. And I should feel lucky I am pregnant at all as so many struggle to even conceive. But somehow I can't shake the feeling that I also will never have that mother/daughter bond.
I'm disappointed that I'll be outnumbered in the house, three boys including my hubby and me. Feel like I have a future of video games, superheroes and rough housing.
I'm bored with boys fashion. Would love to buy sparkly shoes, hair accessories and pretty dresses. But then I think what if I had a tom boy who didn't like any of that? Idk I can't seem to shake myself out of it, or find peace. My hubby tries to be supportive but he can't really relate. He's gonna have two boys interested in all the things he likes to do, they can pee together and he can show them how to be men.

I totally know where you’re coming from and it’s so normal and not talked about enough, our scan confirmed another boy which means 2 sons a step son my husband and our boy dog! But It’s just the cards we have been dealt and boys mums are super special!
I’m just trying everything I can to try and bond with this pregnancy as it’s really hard with a toddler! Hope you’re ok you’ll have good days and bad xx

I just joined this group and it’s such a relief in my heart that I’m not the only one feeling this way except I have 2 girls and pregnant with a third girl now..
