So I was prescribed to give my baby (3 months) Gaviscon powder for infants. I give her the medication in 15 ml of cooled, boiled water as prescribed.
But today I forgot to boil the water in the kettle first and I remembered after I already gave her the medicine and now she is crying in pain, her tummy is upset and I feel so horrible right now… Please advise what should I do! Will she be ok? :(

I had a foster mom that swore by using tap water for bottles as it's fast and didn't seem to hurt anything... Not sure if it harms anything myself, But I've used bottled water before for my baby and he was fine.

If you live somewhere with safe water, it’s probably fine as a one off.

I'm sure she is just fine.

I use bottled water for my babies. Are we not supposed to? 😳

I never had an issue. I'm on the go by foot a lot and bottled water was what I made their bottles with. No issues, healthy 13, 7, and almost 5 year olds now.

no, because bottled water can contain too much salt or sulphate xx

me too! My oldest is 8 and she’s fine. This is just the first time hearing about this so I was shocked.

Are you worried about giving her 15mls of non-boiled water? As long as it's potable water, she'll be fine. If she's more upset than normal it may be because you are worried about it and she's picking up on your emotions. Take a deep breathe.
