Birth at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana?

Hi Mamas, has anyone delivered at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana or planning to?
I’m currently 35w and getting ready to deliver there. Would love to hear how your experience was; what was available to you in the delivery room for labor, post-partum etc. 🤍

Congratulations! That’s great to hear! How long did you end up staying?

Hi! I have! In 2021! Everyone was amazing, super helpful and patient!
My water broke early so we barely had anything packed they provided us with so much necessities! I didnt even need to purchase anything needed for after my C section.

Yes, I have in 2019. I had an okay experience. I was dealing with a few nurses that didn’t know what they were doing but my boyfriend told them to go get someone who had the knowledge in their position and once they were replaced everything went smoothly.

I had an elective C section and I was there for 3 days.

So good to hear! I’m getting as ready as possible right now at 35w but feeling like Babygirl is going to come early - so love to know that!

Glad you were taken care of eventually! I think 2019 I was the first yr of the C-S partnership.

I should be delivering there late April, and have heard nothing but positive things so far. Haven’t toured yet.

Happy to report we had a great experience- my delivery and postnatal nurses were just wonderful! Grateful that my team respected my requests and helped me through a natural vaginal delivery as well as post birth challenges unique to my situation. We felt very cared for.

So glad I came across this post. Just in the process of changing OBs, I’m 27 weeks, so dealing with a little bit of stress 😅 The OB we just had a meeting with has said I could give birth here in February. Good vibes so far ❤️🙏🏻

I know I’m late on this post, but curious as to how the seating was in the room for partners to stay over! :)

In the delivery room there was a couch/bed, same as in the recovery room. I know the pillows they provided weren't very comfortable, so your partner may want to bring a pillow and blanket (it got pretty cold at times in the room).

Hi guys,
So glad I found this post. I’m new to the Woodland Hills area and contemplating on deciding between Kaiser and Cedar. Did anyone of you go through this? I’ve had a few visits with dr. Gil bender from cedar and he seems amazing but also feel like trying Kaiser.

Amazing experience. My wife had an emergency c-section at 35 weeks and 5 days. The team at Providence were wonderful, even with a stay in the NICU. Would recommend.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
