Switching to Enfamil Gentlease from Kendamil

I recently switched my 2 week old baby to Kendamil organic formula from breast milk. My supply ran low and I decided to give up breastfeeding and heard great things about Kendamil being organic and European formulas so I gave it a try. Since then my baby has vomited once and been spitting up more and now always fussy. I wanted to love Kendamil but it’s just not working out. Thoughts on Enfamil Gentlease?

I’ve been combo feeding pumped breast milk and enfamil gentlease with my 1 week old. So far it’s going great and she’s drinking both well. She hasn’t had any issues with the enfamil

We supplement with formula and we had the opposite. Our girl vomited twice after Enfamil gentle ease. We got Kendamil but haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure how she will do with it

oh no! Sorry to hear that. My baby is only 1 week old so we’ll continue to monitor her and see how it goes. I hope you find some formula that works for your little one.

My baby is on Enfamil Gentlease and it helped with spit up and he is sleeping better :)

@Kristin yeah definitely stick it out if she's doing well! Our girl did fine with it up to about 1.5 ounces. Anything beyond that did not go well. I'm hoping to just be able to give breast milk but I don't produce a ton so we may have to bust out the formula soon.

A pediatrician told me that all babies respond differently to different formulas and it’s just going to take trial and error to find one that works for your baby.

Hi, I have been pumping and trying to establish my milk supply so on formula. We have been giving our 2 week old baby boy - Kendamil and we love it. Initially at the hospital, they gave us the Bottle fed - pre mixed Similac which he also seemed to take well. But ever since we got home, we have been on Kendamil - atleast 20-30% of every feed and the rest is my breast milk.

I just switched to gentlesse for my baby B because he had really bad reflux like to the point where I have to suction after every feed. It’s only been two days but He’s been wayyy better only spit up once. Only thing was he was constipated for about 32 hrs and when he finally pooped it was green.

hey tae, aww I’m glad baby B is getting some relief. & same with my baby about the green poop. It might’ve been just bc it was the first poop after the switch but he has been definitely been less fussy and sleeping better.

same, no problems with the Enfamil so far. He’s drinking the liquid form.

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
