@Ana my little girl is exactly the same, everything else is far more interesting. Trying to get her to take the bottle when she wants the bottle is bloody hard work everything is on her terms. We could try and give her the bottle and she moves her head to avoid it but then 2 minutes later crying because she wants it.
Maybe up a teet size if you haven't already? Sounds like all signs pointing to readiness.
We had this, and then went up a teat size (mam bottles) and this seemed to help. They recommended going to size 3 when they are 4+ months
@Karen @Mia I tried that. We use Tommee Tippee bottles. When she started fussing I changed the teet size up, but it made no difference, apart from her choking on the faster flow.
We tend to pace feed when we go up a teat to avoid as much choking as possible x
@Mia we always pace feed regardless of teat size. She still seems perfectly happy with the size 1 when we went back. As long as there are no distractions
@Mia I didn’t know that I’m going to change it! Thanks 😊
@Ana @casey seems like it’s normal then! I was worried there was something wrong! Thanks girls
@Karen I’m going to try that! Thank you 😊
Yep! Same issue here
I’m gonna say it’s probably leap 4 or sleep regression or teething or all at once. For the last three days, my LO has been doing the same. She’ll cry like I’m trying to poison her, kick her bottle away, and then cry for more. Sometimes we do a little dance between dummy and bottle, back and forth. We’ve also been struggling to finish the bottles, and everything is more interesting than feeding. Sometimes the only way I have for her to drink is to go to a room alone, and limit all distractions, even though my white walls seem to be very interesting no matter which room I’m in.
