Baby hates baby bjorn carrier

Help! My baby screams when I put her in our baby bjorn carrier until she falls asleep. Is she uncomfortable/has anyone had a similar experience? If so, please recommend other carriers that are not slings/wraps. Many thanks!🫶

Hi Katya,my baby was the same but I kept putting him in it and now he loves it.I was advised that if babies hate something, persist with it and they’ll get used to it and this has worked on a lot of thing my baby hated (pram, carrier & tummy time)😅.He loves all the above now despite screaming before he got used to them.Goodluck!

My friends little one was the same initially. Took a break from it and then tried again and just persisted and then she ended up loving it x

Have you checked baby’s position in the carrier? Lots of helpful YouTube vids on how to get positioning right - plenty of vids for baby bjorn carriers specifically too.

My partner uses the baby bjorn one and had a similar issue he needed to reposition the inner zip to the higher level and then he was a happy boy. I use the Artipoppe zeitgeist definitely not the cheapest but our boy absolutely loves it and I find it so comfortable and easy to adjust when I’m on my own. X

Baby Bjorn don't have the best support for little babies, they don't end up in a proper M shame (knees above bum).
Saying that, most babies cry at first, try sending a pic to Baby Wearing UK group on Facebook and they will help you with fit check, that will make such a difference.
If position is right, then as you're putting her in, you need to start rocking and moving, moving around helps distract them and go out for a walk. A couple of these and she should get used to it. Mine was the same in the beginning, she now loves it. I had to get different carrier (ergobaby embrace), as narrow positioning kept putting pressure on her spine

I follow a load of baby wearing ones on Instagram. Letstalkbabywearing just posted something about getting babies more comfortable I think.
We do a lot of bouncing when she doesn’t really want to go in, nothing with feet, or any of the little outfits that are restricting (those cute dungarees or thick fabric dresses) and sometimes I just loosen the straps and hold on to her and give obnoxious noisy kisses until she seems happier..
I use the freerider carrier the most or their sling, but also have a boba carrier from vinted which is probably the most comfortable for her? Along with a handful of other carriers.. but I baby wear everyday so I rationalize… woven ring wrap next 😅🙈

My son hated facing me. Once I faced him the other way, he was super happy. I had to put a muslin blanket at the crotch area, to elevate him. I don’t know which exact carrier you have, but I have the baby bjorn one carrier

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!
