Soo, my tubes are tied. But my period is a week late. My breasts are super sore and I've had a lot of back pain and nausea. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it was negative. Should I wait a week and take another one?

I am terrified. I already 4 little ones. Almost 5, 3, 2, and 10 months.

Does having your tube le tied changes your period?

I had this happen recently period ended up being over 2 weeks late and it was similar to my postpartum periods. Things going on in your life can affect it too. Have you been extra stressed lately?

Go see your doctor! It could be an ectopic pregnancy. It happened to my mom and the doctor said she could have died if she waited another day.

A friend of mine had a baby last year after having her tubes tied about 6 years prior. Like others have said, go to your doctor. If it's nothing, great! Period hormones can do a number on you and there's a whole bunch of factors that can cause a delay or a skip. But if it *is* something, the earlier you know, the better.

I would think if you’re a week late and the test was negative you’re fine. No harm in taking another one in a week. If you’re really stressed out about it go in to the doctor to be sure. I got my tubes tied (cut/cauterized in May 2021 and in July 2022 my period was about a week late but I got it. Fast forward to September 2022 and I was about a week late again thinking it was the same as July so I took a test just for fun that mf’er came out positive! 🤦🏻‍♀️ All I’m saying is if you’re late the test should be positive. Yes I know we can get false negatives just trying to make you feel better since you’re not getting a positive test.

I haven't missed a period or had a late period since I had my last kid

And I haven't been extra stressed or anything

If your tubes are tied and you get a positive pregnancy test, go to the ER it most likely ectopic!

I had the same issue a couple months ago. Had my tubes tied in 2021 everything normal since until that month I was 2 weeks late. The following month it was still late but only 1.5 weeks. The last few month it slowly crept back to normal. I’m assuming it was due to stress. When it started I didn’t think it was stress, but then realized there were types of stress I wasn’t considering. I was working too much, and I may have just been over thinking.

I haven't had my tubes tied but I had my son 1 year ago and the last like 6 months I've been late almost every month by at least a week one month was 11 days. My period used to be right one very month to the day id know when It would start but I haven't a clue what causes it. Maybe I'm in the early stages of premenopause 🤷‍♀️but some months along with the late period I get other symptoms that I swear I was Pregnant but haven't been

@Pam have you taken another test yet?
