Hey ladies
I’m pregnant with my 2nd bubba. I’ve been told at 20 weeks my placenta is low lying meaning no way for baby to exit, baby is also breach. I had a scan at 26 weeks yesterday and was told the same thing no changes yet…
I really don’t want to have to have a c section. Did anyone experience this? X

I had a low lying placenta the second time, it had moved out the way by about 30-32 weeks. There's also still tons of time for baby to turn so I wouldn't be worried about them being breach yet x

oh really ok… I’m more worried about placenta not moving 😞 x

they should rescan at 32 weeks to check and then again at 36 if it hasn't moved, most do by 32 weeks though, especially if it is anterior x

My placenta was low my whole pregnancy. Feel free to drop me a message x

yeah I have anterior. I am booked for a scan 32 weeks. Hopefully be ok by then. Still 7 weeks yet I guess! X

I was the same but it had moved well out of the way by 32 weeks

I had this too. My placenta moved but the baby didn’t turn (we tried ECV too), so I had a c section. Waters broke early so we were treated as an emergency, which was great as we went in quickly, no time to think too much about what has happening, and she was out within 10mins of the surgery. The birth was calm and peaceful, and I’m so relieved it was so easy! Fate will decide for you, don’t overthink it x

Mine didn’t move but it was completely covering, do you know if yours is just low lying or completely covering? That makes a big difference c

congratulations to you too! ❤️ thank you. Oh so it was still low and didn’t move enough?

this is true! I just worry about c section xx

low lying apparently x

there is a placenta previa group on Peanut just so you know, I found it helpful when I was pregnant ! c

I had complete placenta previa and had to have a c section. It can be quite overwhelming when first told about/read about placenta previa so, feel free to message if you have any questions x
