Special travelling

Good morning mummies,

I have an ongoing court case with my daughter’s dad. He stops us travelling, but my dad is very well. Could be his last days, is there any law which would let me leave the country in special circumstances without his permission and come back?
Thank you!

No but you can apply for a SIO and do an undertaking to return.

Are you the RP? Does he have a PSO in place?

thank you for the advice. Sorry if I am silly but what is RP and PSO?🙈😀

also I have applied SIO beforehand but the case is still ongoing.

Sorry,
RP= resident parent (your child lives with you mainly)
PSO= prohibited steps order (he made an application to stop you from taking your child abroad or so)

If you are the RP and there's no PSO or wasnt granted by court, you can leave without his permission for 28 days

If the SIO (I assume to visit your father?) is already at court and circumstances around it havent changed, then unfortunately, you can't do anything else

yes that’s the case unfortunately and he did put prohibited step order. Thank you for your help!
