Formula fed past 6 months

Can i still give my baby aptimal 1 even though it says it’s for upto 6 months? Do i NEED to switch to aptimal 2. I have just read the ingredients and I swear it is the same exact ingredients! I thought i was going bizarre reading it over and over again. Told my husband to read too, and honestly it is THE SAME ingredients. Only thing it doesn’t state is how much of each ingredient is in it… so they could potentially increase the amount of one ingredient in number 2 and decrease something else etc. I would potentially like to be able to stick to number 1 as I know she drinks it regardless

You can stick with 1.

It's all a marketing ploy to make money.

You can stick with 1,it's exactly the same. All you will do is adjust your babies feeds when you start weaning. I started 2 weeks ago, so Isabelle used to have five 6-7oz feeds per day, now I just adjust so morning she has 5oz and a small bowl of porridge, lunch she has 5oz and a small bowl of pureed veggies etc

We're sticking with the first infant formula! This is because we spotted it says to on the NHS website here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/breastfeeding-and-bottle-feeding/bottle-feeding/types-of-formula/#:~:text=Follow%2Don%20formula%20should%20never,they%20are%201%20year%20old.
