So me and my partner planned to have our garden fully redone (1 weeks worth of work) end July. Ended up getting pushed back to August and found out today the new official start date is 18th September. I'm due 26th September so just really anxious about being 39 weeks and the possibility of going into labour while the work is getting done. I am a bit of a anxious person and would much prefer to be here to keep an eye on things especially since they are using my elderly neighbours drive for access and since her husband went into a home she has become more nervous about the work and we need the access so I want to be here 24/7 to make sure she feels like any concerns she has are heard and taken care of... just sat here now praying for baby to come in next 2 weeks as I also don't want to go over as I'm too impatient for baby girl to be here as I've suffered bad from movement anxiety etc throughout pregnancy.
Rant over but any tips on managong anxiety during this time as I'd hate for it to be the reason my labour stops or is super long because my oxytocin levels are low lol

We have had our bathroom refit, they were late starting and ran over so didn’t finish until I was almost 39 weeks! I was stressing about it to my midwife and she said there’s a theory that baby won’t come if there’s something hanging over your head / you’re not ready. Just a theory but this helped me manage the stress a bit - job is now finished and I’m now officially overdue with no sign of him yet! Hoping it’s not too stressful for you x

I’m 37 weeks we just moved into an old house which has leaky roof and holes and bad electrics - needs the works! We also have one very slim shared path with our neighbours as only access to the house. As I type this my husband is out tearing up rotten decking in the garden and laying turf down!
It’s very common to move or have house renovations at the same time as a baby, I’m just going with the flow and not stressing. Think it’s exciting time for you and you’ll also have a lovely garden too! I just have my neighbours number and let them know whenever there is going to lots of activity and keep them sweet, take her a bunch or flowers or offer to have her around for a cuppa x
