Salah as a new mum

My son as a baby was very clingy and I remember doing many prayers sitting down with him in my arms
But the good news is , it does get easier Sis In sha Allah that phase will pass

Wsalam I've had the same problem, I blink and the day is gone, it's really hard, and I know it's not ideal but draw on support around u as much as possible, I found I was making up prayers as and when, and still am at times, which I know isnt good but I'm trying to cope as best as I can

For me personally I would let baby cry it out but Alhamdulillah it wasn’t a strong cry. If it was turning into a stronger cry I delayed the salah a little but not too long. We started training him to self soothe early so he didn’t get too used to being held since I would mostly be alone with no help. Alhamdulillah it did and is paying off. Sometimes I pray and he’s fussing. But again he’s not screaming so we’re ok.
If you need to hold baby and pray you can sis. Allah knows best!

making them up is better than missing them 🤗 yes alhamdullilah I have support but when everyone’s at work it’s hard

w salam I get scared he’s going to cry while I’m praying. How did you get him to self soothe? I live with in laws and everyone loves to hold him so that’s what he’s used to. And it’s hard telling them not to too much . I’ve tried already but trying to be polite and respectful in saying it.

Salam, it’s really a good subject to talk about it as each new mom think that we are alone struggling to keep praying on time or even pray all the day prayers.. so thank you for talking about this and for everyone sharing their experience 🙏🏼 for me sometimes I pray everything end of the day around 11 or 12 pm (I have baby old 3 months) and I feel so bad for this but I keep praying Isteghfar for Allah to make it easier InshAllah 🙏🏼

I didn’t know that you could stop praying. That’s what my husband does, just to the side. But when my baby starts crying I will pick him up

You can use a sling to wrap him on you and pray until he’s too big. I used to pray before my husband left for work, then quickly during nap time and then when he got him from work. It was stressful.

You are allowed to pray holding the baby, you could use a sling or wrap as mentioned above. And place baby next to you on the mat when doing sujood
