Trying for a baby, 4 months in and no luck yet 😔

Happened first try with my first. How long is normal to be trying for? I am older. Feeling disheartened as I wanted a smaller age gap and it’s getting bigger 😔

Have you tried the ovulation sticks? I bought some from Amazon and you wee on them so it tells you when to have sex xx

My auntie tried for years for a baby, when she went to the doctor they recommended a change in her diet. Being older wasn’t the problem, she just wasn’t giving her body what it needed. The doctors said that people with poor diets get pregnant all the time but she just so happened to be more susceptible to the affects of not eating what her body needed. She had a good diet but it wasn’t good enough. With the addition of vitamins, probiotics and a little exercise she soon managed to conceive. I hope this helps, with the addition to ovulation strips like Kate suggested! It also may be your partner isn’t very fertile either. It’s not always the females fault. Good luck with your journey ❤️

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? If you’re 35 or over then you can get help from the doctors after 6 months of trying. I fell pregnant straight away after trying the first time but lost the baby, this happened the second time too. I was 36 at the time but it then took 11 months for us to finally conceive and we had our rainbow baby. But during this time I went to the doctors and was referred to the fertility clinic. Didn’t actually need them in the end but they did help by prescribing me progesterone and offered extra scans. Basically, definitely get help from the docs as they can help.

I took 2 years to conceive the first time (she is now 15mo). Had completely given up hope, we were about to start IVF, booked appt then 5 days later found out I had fallen pregnant naturally. Don’t give up hope but do seek medical advice if you are worried. 4 months sounds very normal though!
