That is awesome! Keep it up!

Are you type 1 or 2?
I'm type 1 and had complications leading to loss and rly not hopeful for another pregnancy

I’m a type 1 for 22 years. I’m really sorry to hear about your loss, but definitely don’t lose hope. It’s all possible! My a1C was 7.2 at conception, but since my positive test I’ve been really cracked down on myself and have been at 5.7 since. Baby girl is doing great. Sending baby dust your way!! 💕

That is so amazing! So happy for u ! I've been type 1 for 10 yrs and when I conceived I was having issues with the freestyle cgm and my a1c was 12.6 currently I'm at 7.0 though ! 5.7 is so great tho how did u achieve that? During pregnancy and after I have also gained a lot of weight which I don't think helps any.

I have my Dexcom range set to 60-140 (which I’ve noticed is a lot tighter than others have theirs set to) I also correct like crazy, keep a super close eye on my sugars for an hour or two after eating, and make weekly (or more) adjustments to my pump settings. It’s definitely not easy by any means, but it’s certainly possible!

@Rae that is a more close range I believe my target range is 70-200 and I usually correct if I see it going above 200 but I still have some highs here and there although the dexcom and omnipod make it much more manageable ( 2 yrs ago I was in a diabetic coma with acute kidney failure).. which pump do u use? Nothing about being diabetic is easy I've learned that for sure but I'm just looking for ways to be more mindful and keep my a1c where I want it. In march I was at 6.7 that was the lowest Mines ever been

I use the tandem t:slim pump. I would suggest tightening your target range. Getting alerts before you’re at or above 200 will definitely help lower your A1c!

Do u like that pump? Like do the tunes bother u? Something about it made me soo hesitant I only even started using the dexcom 7 months ago. The tubes I'm afraid of pulling when I sleep and stuff.
I'm going to try changing the range I'm trying to make sure I'm as healthy as I can be before conceiving again

I’ve never been tubeless, so the tube doesn’t really bother me. It’s just an extension of my body at this point. It doesn’t get snagged too often if you tuck it in!

Makes sense ur used to it by now. I was 20 when I was diagnosed so changes are hard

I was on MDI for the first 14 years, actually. It was a relatively smooth transition once I started pumping, but I can’t imagine going back 😂

Idk what mdi is
