Alcohol and spouses

I'm sorry to hear this. I'm currently treating a 45 year old individual who was recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol use. They now need a whole new liver and things are not looking good for them at all. They have end stage kidney failure. Worst thing is, they did not consume alcohol in extreme large quantities. This made me really examine my relationship with alcohol before i got pregnant and made me decide that will not be drinkong after having baby. My so quit drinking 10 months ago and our relationship has been so much better ever since. I wish the same for you. Good luck mama

so my husband called this morning and realized what he had done yesterday was wrong. Said he doesn’t need to be drinking alone, needs to focus on ourselves and bettering ourselves for our children. It was completed unprompted and I cried on the phone. I’m so grateful he realized the path he was down was not the right one. I hope it remains positive moving forward
