Is it normal for baby not to gain weight from last month?
And he didn't double his original birth weight at this point.

Did your Dr have any concerns with him not gaining weight?

this is the 1st month he didnt gain weight

@Prexie I personally don't think it's normal to not gain weight. But it is possible. My daughter had issues gaining her 1st month, had to be weighed 3 times a week at the drs. She's just over 5 months now and over 16 lbs. If your dr is not concerned, then I'd believe there is nothing to worry about just yet. As long as he's eating the right amount, then maybe this month he just grew longer instead of gaining? They are getting fairly active at this age lol

he is ebf on demand. He didnt gain length either.

@Prexie huh. I'd be asking the dr if it's normal. I, unfortunately, don't produce enough breastmilk to sustain my children so they've all been formula fed, despite my best efforts. But I'd speak with your dr if you have any worries.

I went to see a pediatrician and was informed since babies are drooling a lot at this age. They take in a lot of their saliva. So if the baby isnt drinking much or not gaining weight, it is completely normal.

thank you this is very reassuring 🥰

@Prexie thats what fellow moms are for 🙂
