Coding is useful for so many jobs now and can be done from home.

Like Lisa said about software development, there are loads of free online courses have a look on Coursera they offer a few free online courses the only time you pay with them is if you want the diploma and to do the final exam.

I’m not thick, I work in property management and got a promotion. I had been working my ass off to get this promotion and it was all I wanted but I turned it down because I got scared because I was pregnant with my 2nd and just thought it would be to stressful for me.
I have baby brain x2. I have also lost my ability to articulate myself. I’m useless 😭

You're not useless, you're managing 3 people's lives now instead of just your own! Think about all of the appointments you have for your babies: doctors/nurses, dentists, health visitors. All the food you have to keep track of/plan, plus who will eat what, is anyone going through a picky phase, have they each had enough dairy/iron/water today, have YOU had enough food/water today? Do they have enough clean clothes that fit them? Do you need to go shopping soon? If they're going to be in nursery or school any time soon you also have all of that to track and plan as well. It's no wonder main caregivers (usually mums) get a bit of brain fog!!!

Coding is a really useful skill to have, and there are different types of code - some are easier to learn than others. There are apps you can use that make it like a game, and it becomes a bit like learning a new language. You've got this, you're a smart and capable woman. xx

actually yes, that's my job.
We can have a call if you'd like, that's probably easier than to write.
But basically, cybersecurity is a wide world. Some people like compliance topics more, some enjoy cryptography, some like to code (I don't!), some are specialised in cloud topics only, etc.
There are basic notions that are necessary for everyone, I recommend to start with a global free course such as https://www.coursera.org/professional-certificates/google-cybersecurity
From there you can decide what is more appealing to you, specialise, and get internships. 😊

To answer the question above, about apps to learn how to code, I suggest trying a few. Depending on if you like real problems to work on, games, learning with videos, learning by doing,..., some might work better for you than others. Do not spend a cent, however! There is no need.

The main challenge will be to choose a language.
Python is probably a good start, it's quite easy to learn compared to other languages and is still trendy. Javascript could also be a good option.

I am learning Python and R and self teaching Power Automate to prepare myself for a masters in data analyst next year. Data science is definitely going to be very popular.

Excel is used in most businesses - you don't need to be a maths wizard! It just means you can become an admin assistant amongst other things who earn pretty good money for what they do :)

I can't remember which one I used when I started (and I'm by no means an expert, just know enough SQL to be the go-to person in customer service for finding answers to tricky questions without bothering tech!) but I've found a couple - sololearn and Mimo look quite good & CodeMonkey is a web based game aimed at kids which might help as well. ❤️

I work in regulatory compliance data analytics, basically I learnt how to use excel, power bi, power automate, SQL etc in my spare time. Now I am in a new role designed just for me in my firm which embraces these new skills. Data and computer science is the way forward
